We are a woman-owned and operated small business nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
We bought Wildfire Farm almost two years ago, and have been working steadily to preserve and maintain the rich experience
of living on a family farm.
We planted an orchard in the spring of 2008, and plan to harvest blueberries, raspberries,
blackberries, and strawberries. We also have six honeybee hives, including a swarm of extremely rare 'survivor stock' feral
bees. Eventually, we plan to market Wildfire honey. There are also plans in the works to shore up the chicken coop that's
on the property.
Wildfire Farm sits on a pristine spot with native hemlocks, rhododendrons, walnut
trees, hardwoods, and spruce. In addition, we have discovered a variety of native medicinal plants such as comfrey, nettle,
wild raspberry, and Jerusalem artichoke. We have a year-round organic vegetable garden, as well as numerous flower beds. We
use hebs grown right here on the property in healing balms and soaps, which we offer for sale.
We
believe that eco-tourism at it's best happens on a small scale. We offer an opportunity to participate in the farm experience,
support local artisans and craftspeople from this region, or just kick back and relax.
